In response to those objections I would like to say that we all manipulate people in one form or another. Both intentionally and unintentionally. With a kind gesture, an alluring look, some well-crafted insinuative words we control other peoples opinion of us on a regular basis. The Art of Seduction does not teach you how to manipulate people any more than your parents telling you to say Please and Thank you teaches you to manipulate people. I think where this so-called manipulation should come into question should be when a person wants to use it to get a person to act amorally.
